The 2030 Job Market: one year later
The Foundation Race Has Begun
Exactly a year ago, I wrote about how AI was set to reshape the job market by 2030. The World Economic Forum had just released projections of massive disruption, and I argued that the future of work wouldn’t be defined solely by technology, but by our human capacity for innovation and growth.
Twelve months later, I’m not updating that article because the projections changed. I’m updating it because the timeline collapsed.
What we thought would unfold gradually toward 2030 is already visible inside product teams, agencies, software vendors and boardrooms.
The disruption isn’t coming. It’s operational.
